Friday, April 30th, 2010The Mystery Mask Unveiled!
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010Hey guys, mystery mask is unveiled! Turns out it wasn’t the real deal after all:

Just got an e-mail from Kevin Coll, Executive Editor over at Fusedfilm.com, which is one of the sites that got ahold of the alleged new turtle sculpt (Go Check them out!)
I wanted to let you know i just got an email from someone who claims thatthis image belongs to someone that did as a design for his for make-upschool. Here is a quote from the email we got.
“Has NOTHING to do with the next TMNT reboot. It is in fact a student’sclass-project, done at Tom Savini’s make-up school, in South-WesternPennsylvania. If you’d like to contact the actual artist who made thismask, you can contact him here: (edited, sorry, I don’t release e-mails without permission -Steph)
Please! Next time, do some basic fact-checking, before posting “Anonymous”photos claiming it to be something it’s not. It will save you a TON of liability, and embarassment.”
I did say that it looked a lot like a College Students project; now we know!
Stay tuned for more updates guys =D

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010Nickelodeon's TMNT, What Are the Possibilities?
Monday, April 19th, 2010Hey guys, this post will mainly feature my thoughts and opinions about Nick’s takeover of the TMNT rights.
- – – – -
As all of you well know, Nick’s got the TMNT rights… are we doomed or renewed?
They plan to release a new TMNT TV series and movie coming soon, with the TV series supposedly coming first in 2012 (lucky year huh? X.X). The TV series will be entirely made up of CGI so don’t expect the usual hand craft.
Here’s a sample of old TMNT CGI for TV:
I’ll admit that I enjoyed the little bloopers Mirage made, but in this writer’s opinion they failed with the animation (frozen toothy expression?). I only hope that Nick has some real solid material, well thought-out animation and firm plotlines worthy to present to the public. We need a heaping lot more sophistication and style then goofy and kid-materialized script.
Back with Mirage Studios, they lost sight of vision and to which direction they were taking TMNT. BTTS (Back to the Sewers) in my opinion was the worst season they ever brought out, not because of the plot (some episodes had great potential and fantastic story-wise), but in the way they presented it. The animation was clearly inspired by FF (Fast Forward) and given a few more tweaks (one BIG tweak they gave was their eyes… they lost all their intimidating stance after that.).
Nick may have a clear vision and a better sense of direction then Mirage Studios, you never know. It would be nice to see the new TMNT teams art sketches for the turtles; which TMNT “look” will they be using?
The TMNT Multi-universe is huge, they have a wide variety of choices for style. Will they go for an old style of TMNT (BTTS, FF, 2k3, 80′s, Comic Style) or will they reinvent TMNT in their own way?
Nick, you’ve got really BIG shoes to fill, I hope you know what you’re doing.
